Albert P. Capati, D.M.D.
Dr. Capati grew up and attended high school in Decatur, Illinois and graduated Valedictorian from Eisenhower High School.

He attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.  While at Johns Hopkins, he also assisted in a study of bruxism (nocturnal tooth grinding) with Dr. Mark Teaford at Johns Hopkins Medical School, which piqued his interest in dentistry.

Dr. Capati then attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University’s School of Dental Medicine, where he chose general dentistry as his specialty, and became an associate to his childhood dentist, Dr. Randy VanAlstine, at North Street Dental Care in Decatur.  There, he refined his skills in restorative dentistry, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and designed and repaired removable prosthetics.

In 2002, Dr. Capati came to Springfield to build his own dental practice. He has a special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry and continues to further his education and incorporate new technologies into this treatments. His practice philosophy includes a commitment to quality, comprehensive care and patient education.
